Clear out Broken Concrete, Bricks & Shingles
What is Heavy Debris?
If you are tearing up a driveway, fixing a leaky concrete foundation, renovating your shingled roof or removing dirt from your property, the resulting debris is extremely compact when placed in a dumpster resulting in a much heavier load than normal debris, hence the term “heavy debris”.
Depending on your service area, DisposaBins has a special bin specifically designed for these heavy kinds of debris. Typically named “lowboy”, it has lower sidewalls than your typical bin – only rises 2 to 3 ft. typically from the ground – which allows easy loading of heavy debris from any side.
Some Examples of heavy debris include:
- Concrete
- Asphalt
- Brick
- Block
- Shingles
- Dirt
- Sand
- Gravel
Ways to Recycle Bricks
Bricks from demolition jobs can be recycled in various ways:
Crushed – Bricks can be crushed and used as aggregate or gravel for various construction or landscaping projects.
Chipped – Old Bricks can be chipped and used as pavers and landscaping jobs. They will have an attractive aesthetic appeal and hold well to the elements such as cold, rain or sun.
Powder – By breaking bricks down to a very fine powder, they can be used instead of sand or even used to make new bricks.
